NOW SOLD 1948 Spun Steel and Brass Desk lamp. Designed by Stanley Meggit and Earl Gott for Crown Electrical Manufacturing. This is a great piece of Canadian Mid-Century design, and is featured on page 127 of the Design Exchange published book ,"Design in Canada". Clearly influenced by such contemporary designers as Gino Sarfatti, and Greta Grossman. Fantastic patina on this one.

This design has been featured in many television and film productions including multiple episodes of Mad Men. Clearly influenced by the lamps that were being produced by Arredoluce and other Italian lighting manufactures of the time.
